Formed from the ashes of East Coast powerhouse bands The Jimmy Swift Band and Ruby Jean and the Thoughtful Bees, the core members of Scientists of Sound are producers Colin Crowell (keyboards, bass, trumpet) and Craig Mercer (guitar, keys, drums, bass, vocals)—joined by drummer Sean Parsons for live performances.
