“Cross over the bridge – and I promise you won’t want to leave” sings Craig Mercer on the track Dartmouth Hills—a song about falling in love with both a person and a place simultaneously. It is one of four songs featured on Not Letting Go—the debut EP from Craig Mercer and the Will Be Gones that was released in the summer of 2023. 

 

The Will Be Gones represents a coming of age for the singer/ songwriter—through songs of heartache, rebirth, and a deep love of the east coast. With subtle hints of rock set to a backdrop of Americana with a bluesy southern edge, the upcoming EP tells the story of an artist at a turning point in both life and in music – and offers a stark contrast from his work to date as the frontman for jam/rock acts The Jimmy Swift Band and Scientists of Sound.
